Campus Vaxholm in Sweded chooses Artigo
“This work has been done in close collaboration with the teachers’ groups and representatives from the City” is how Cedervall Arkitekter introduce us to this brand-new high school in the city of Vaxholm, Sweden.
“We focused on creating a varied and flexible study environment, that could sustain the activity of attending to both small and large groups of students, shaping the environment on different types of work say Cedervall Arkitekter”.
The basic idea is to give both teachers and students better opportunities for learning through different spatial configurations. The student landscape in the school should be calm and inspiring. There are sofas, booths, writing stations and various types of chairs.
The school houses approximately 500 students in grades 7-9. Built and decorated with a completely different pattern than older schools, it features Artigo's iconic BS flooring, as well as Granito, for a total surface of more than 4000 sqm.
